ABOUT ME
When I was 11, my family moved from Ohio to Alabama. While most kids would’ve struggled, I thrived. In fact, my middle school asked me to be on the “new kid’s welcoming committee” just the semester after we moved there. I was the new kid welcoming the other new kids.
Even as I write this, I realize that I’m effectively still on the new kid’s welcoming committee. I help “new kids” pitch themselves & win over investors. So I guess I’ve been doing this since the 6th grade!

After trying to get a traditional PR job with a big-time New York agency, and failing, I nearly gave up. But after praying with a friend, the idea to send my pitch deck portfolio to a recruiting firm popped in my head. And within two weeks, I was working with McCann New York, one of the most well known ad agencies in the world. And the phone never stopped ringing after that. (I also stopped working with recruiters a few years later as this became a straight referral business.)
Now over 10 years later, I have developed this niche consulting firm and have had the pleasure of working with some of the most amazing CEOs, startup founders and high-level executives in their industries. I hope to keep doing this another 10 years. -
I’ve been working in the PR & marketing world since I was a junior in college. Here’s a summary of my experience:
PR Consultant for The Shiny Object Co, Los Angeles: Client work included The Hollywood Tower + other Alliance Residential properties, Los Angeles Athletic Club, Workshop Kitchen + Bar and media relations with ALT987FM, KTLA, Los Angeles Magazine & LA Canvas.
Communications Associate for Watch This Space, New York: Client work included press research for adtech startups including Distroscale, Mirriad & Social Flow.
Marketing Consultant for Tache Artisan Chocolate, New York: Helped this small chocolate factory & boutique transform its brand, cater for the New York City Ballet Gala and design a booth for the New York Chocolate Show.
In my early years in Alabama, I served in various PR & marketing roles for companies like Christopher Architects, New Hope Publishers & Urban Standard.
And in college, I ran the PR & marketing for the theatre department at Troy University.

Honestly, it just fell into my lap. Funny enough, I majored in Communication Arts and minored in Business in college, so I’m actually doing what I studied, which is rare.
That said, I not only love what I’m doing, I feel called to do it. Oftentimes, I feel like I’m the last line of defense before clients get an investment, so I take this job very seriously.
As someone who runs my own business, I know what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck. So I know how important it is to get that funding. And now.

While the process differs with each client, here’s the general flow:
Discovery Phase: Project Kickoff
Writing Phase: Development of Your Outline & Overall Narrative
Design Phase: Development of Your First Draft
Editing Phase: Refine Deck Together
Final Phase: Finish Deck Together & Practice Your Pitch
Pitch Phase: Work Together on a Monthly Basis Until You Close the Deal (optional)

I am not one of those contractors on the internet who you pay and never hear from again. Also I’m not a contractor, I’m a strategist. My goal is to help you close that deal, not waste your time.
So if my schedule allows and you respond to edits quickly, I can turn this around in two weeks, with a first draft in just one week. (Rush fees will apply.)
But if you want the best quality work, I prefer one month - and getting you the first draft at week two. This timeline is especially crucial if you have never created an investor deck before and/or have more than one team member.
That said, if you become a retainer client, that two-week turnaround time will just be 24-48 hours.
-
I offer both services. And one-time projects too.
If you’re interested in the retainer model, let’s work together on one project and see how it goes. If we like working together and you’re happy with your results, let’s discuss.

While I may have started out as a freelance deck designer over a decade ago, I have now become an expert in the field and have turned this into a niche consulting firm.
Harnessing my PR & marketing background + 10 years running this business, I know what you need to say, how to say it and how to impress investors.
My job is to help clients succeed, not just hand over a nice looking deck. Nice looking decks lose deals all the time. Good strategy rarely does.
So if you are looking for someone to just do what they’re told, I’m not your gal. But if you want to win, let’s chat.
